Dr. Sherly Pardo, MD, Radiation Oncology

Dr. Sherly Pardo is a Radiation Oncologist who recently completed her training as chief resident at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, AL (UAB). During her training at UAB she acquired expertise treating all organ sites with different modalities. A strong emphasis was placed on frameless SRS/SBRT for the treatment of brain metastasis, early stage lung cancer, liver and pancreatic lesions, spine metastasis, selected oligometastases, low-intermediate grade prostate patients, selected breast cancer patients, and selected benign lesions. Previously Dr. Pardo completed medical training in Medical Genetics and other specialties at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York, NY. As a professional, she has also served as director of clinical genetic laboratories, a researcher in the areas of genetics and human stem cell biology, as well as former medical school faculty. Throughout her career, Dr. Pardo has earned exemplary evaluations from patients, students, colleagues, and supervisors. As a radiation oncologist, she is interested in integrating radiation therapy to personalized cancer treatments based on genetic information.
