Thomas Beatrous, MD, Radiation Oncology at Alabama Cancer Care of Montgomery knows the hardest part of a cancer diagnosis is often waiting for test results. “The lengths to which our staff goes to get these procedures taken care of is remarkable,” says Dr. Beatrous. “That is part of our personalized approach to patient care.”

 

Dr. Beatrous earned his Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies at Tulane University, graduating Phi Beta Kappa. He completed his Medical Degree at LSU Medical School in New Orleans. His postgraduate training included an internal medicine internship at Tulane Medical Center and a residency in Radiation Oncology at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, Maryland.

 

Since 1989, Dr. Beatrous has worked full-time in private practice, with the first ten years spent in Louisiana and the remaining in Alabama.

 

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Beatrous has conducted research on many aspects of radiation oncology. His work has been published in several eminent journals, including “Radiology” and “The Journal of Brachytherapy”.

 

Dr. Beatrous is Board Certified in Radiation Oncology by the American Board of Radiology.

 

At Alabama Cancer Care of Montgomery, Dr. Beatrous focuses on integrating the latest radiation treatment innovations, such as SBRT and MRI treatment planning, into his patient care, so that patients can receive state-of-the-art therapy in a timely, thorough, and personalized fashion.
